Payment Links

Payment Link is a faster way to accept money into your bank account from your customers. On clicking the link, the customer can choose from the available payment methods (depending on the Transaction currency) at payment checkout (Read more on Customer checkout Process). On payment completion, the Merchant will receive the amount in their Settlement bank account (less applicable Tax/Charges). Currently, there are different payment modes acceptable depending on the business currency. Leatherback landscape supports two broad categories of Payment Links which are.

  • Reusable

  • One-time

The One-time link as the name implies can be used once by the Merchant/customer while the Reusable can be used as many times as possible. The Reusable category is subdivided into two types which are :

  • Static

  • Dynamic

The Static type means the attributes (Amount) of the payment link remains unchanged while the Dynamic payment links are reusable, with a varying Amount and payment requests can be sent in bulk.

Merchants can Generate Leatherback Payments Links from the Dev portal and share them with customers or leverage direct integration Using APIs and start accepting payments.

Payment Method

The Leatherback Checkout offers multiple payment methods, allowing your customer the flexibility to complete the payment using the payment method of their choice. This improves user experience and allows you to offer alternate payment methods to your customer in the case of downtimes or low success rates with one of the payment methods. For example, if you are facing downtime with Pay with a card, the customer can complete the payment using Pay by transfer. Payment Channels supported are dependent on the Transaction currency.
